His Majesty Patronizes the Ceremony to mark the anniversary of the Great Arab Revolt and Army Day

Amman - His Majesty King Abdullah II, the supreme commander of the armed forces, on Sunday patronized a major armed forces celebration as Jordan marks Army Day and the Great Arab Revolt anniversary. The King arrived to a 21-gun salute at the Martyr's Memorial, where he was welcomed by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. General Meshal Mohammed al Zabin.

The King toured the site, watered an olive tree and signed the visitors book. His Majesty decorated a number of officers of the Armed Forces, General Intelligence, Public Security and Civil Defense departments and the Gendarmerie and also honoured a number of wounded servicemen.

Also attending the celebration were: HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and other princes, the Prime Minister and defence minister, Acting Senate president, Lower House speaker, Judicial Council Chairman, Royal Court Chief and the directors of security departments and other top civic and military officials.
