King, Crown Prince receive cables on occasion of Prophet’s birthday
His Majesty King Abdullah has received cables on the occasion of the birth of Prophet Mohammad, marked on Thursday, from a number of Arab and Muslim leaders.
In the cables, the leaders expressed their well wishes to King Abdullah and the people of Jordan.
His Majesty also received similar cables from senior officials and army officers, heads of security agencies, and civil society representatives.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II also received cables from senior officials and officers.
In the cables, the senders highlighted the tolerant teachings of Islam.
They also praised the King’s efforts in defending the tolerant image of Islam, affirming their commitment to employing Islam’s values in the fight against extremism and terrorism, as well as against attempts by the nation’s enemies to sow the seeds of discord and bigotry.
