Crown Prince Patronizes the Graduation Ceremony of Haqiq Initiative

Yesterday in the Palace of Culture Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II patronized the graduation ceremony of the first generation of students that are participating in the Haqiq Initiative. These students come from around the Kingdom of Jordan from public and private schools.

Within the five phases of the Initiative the students participate in activites that reflect the values of the Initiative and urges the younger generation to give back to thier land and people. The Initiative aims to develop volunteerism, community service, creativity  and reinforce a sense of belonging to the country.

The participants presented various presentations about what they have achieved from the Initiative. They focused on their achievement of creativity, promotion of positive values, enhancement of personal skills, and the consolidation of commitment, responsibility, and cooperation. 

The Minister of Education, Dr Muhammad Thnaibat, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth, Dr. Sami Al-Majali, and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education,  Dr. Satam Awad, and a number of educational leaders in the Kingdom attented the ceremony. 

The second group of the Initiative will be launched at the beginning of the second semester in which a student will participate for 6 months. During these months, the student will learn the values of initiative and how to promote confidence in themselves. The students will be motivated to work in teams and volunteer their services and time to those in need. 

The Director of the Initiative, Dr. Thabet Al-Nabulsi said to (Petra) that the standards they follow to choose the students is based on practical achievement and efficiency. The student start with a field visit, volunteering, training camps, and leadership camps. Mujahid Smadi is a student at Al-Mafraq Governmental School who is part of the Initiative and says that Haqiq influences the behavior of students in a positive way and challenges the student to think positively. He pointed to the metal tag that the students carry and mentioned that it reflect the values, responsibilities and duties placed on each student as a sign of commitment to the principles and values of the Haqiq.
